A big thank you to all who attended the opening week at Mantra Yoga! It feels so good to be back offering my heart's passion and serving our community in person again.
Ayurveda is the sister science of yoga. In eastern cultures, its medicinal benefits have been long-established. In recent years it has also been adopted into our western lives.
According to Ayurveda, the Fall season is the classic Vata season and brings a predominance of the air element with its crisp air, the gradual browning of the earth, and cooler temperatures.
In consideration of the Ayurvedic principle that opposites bring balance. Our fall yoga practices will balance the effects of Vata with deeply nourishing, heart-centered, grounded sequences bringing a sense of stability and routine. This approach to our Fall practice offers profoundly calming effects and feelings of warmth and groundedness.
The perfect transitional practice and final offering in September, is coming this Saturday, September 25th, at 10 AM:
Bliss : Soothing Flow, Yin & Restorative Yoga Workshop
Join me in a practice of moving meditation offering ritual grounded movement focused on the calming effects of rhythmic breath. Followed by a deep stretch and supported postures to replenish the nervous system leaving you with a sense of blissful wellbeing.
October Courses:
Seasonal Yoga Practices honoring the five Ayurvedic elements:
• Earth (Bhumi) - nurtured and grounded within the heart
• Water (Jala) - the rhythmic wave of the heart
• Fire (Agni) - Tending the inner fire of the heart
• Air (Vayu) - The hearts breath
• Space (Akash) - A place for all
Each session will introduce a new sequence embodying each element in a heart-centered practice. Throughout this course we'll focus upon various calming, gentle lunar flows for overall grounding and stability while cultivating the nourishment of Mind-Body-Soul.

Kat will be offering a 6 part course in October.
Join us in the cultivation of joy as we bring balance and harmony to the subtle body. Each session will focus on lifting the vibration of our energetic centers known as the Chakras. These energetic centers represent themselves in specific areas of our physical body and create blockages of energy, emotion, and clarity of thought.
